Regional training sessions
Training in Vardenis – May 16, 2019
The AUA Center for Responsible Mining organized the first regional one-day training session in Vardenis on EITI Standard and Principles for interested CSOs. More than 30 representatives of the local groups and activists, as well as the mayor Aram Melqonyan and representatives of Vardenis town hall took part in the training. The session was led by Harutyun Movsisyan (Expert; Yerevan State University, Chair of Prospecting and Exploration of Mineral Deposits, Associate Professor, Member of EITI Multi-Stakeholder Group).
This is one of the four training sessions in regions of Armenia that are planned within the framework of Improvement of Transparency and Accountability in the Mining Sector & Promotion of EITI (ITAMSPE) Project.
The Project is financed through Transparency International with funds from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
